Gottcha. I agree - I could see McIntosh amp could cost that, but it is way to steep for yammi in any case

and Yes, pro amps are functional, not pretty

I agree on 2 counts.

Crown ugly, Yamaha pretty but not 8k pretty.

I do think it is 2K pretty.

Ugh, for $8k I could have custom built tube amp *and* speakers!
