The SV Sound 5.1 setup was delivered to me, today, at work.
:D
I had upgraded to the PB12-NSD Sub... The Box is freaking Huge! Jeez.... Didn't look that big on the Computer Screen.

Any plans I had of slipping this set-up past "The Warden" (Wife), just got shot down in flames. Holy Crap, its a MONSTER

Why are you still at work? You are feeling sick and need to leave before you get the whole office sick!

Just buy something shiny in a small velvety box and set it on top. When she starts staring at the sub, she'll be too distracted by the other thing to remember to be mad at you. I believe OPRA had some advice to that effect. :D

Good Question Greg!
I was playing plumber till 11am.

Sunday I had replaced the Kitchen Sink, Faucet, with some really nice stuff (brushed nickel) in a last ditch effort to gather "Husband Points" before the speakers arrived (She doesn't know).

Anyhow, this morning (Tuesday) the Copper tube (cold water line) to the faucet Burst while I as was cleaning up the morning dishes. Thankfully I was home (before work), two trips to Home Depot its all fixed. Got to show at work as I know the speakers where being delivered:D today

The Warden will Freak:eek: if she see's these boxes, 100% Certain.

"The Plan"

We live on the East End of Long Island.
The Warden and Her Sister, are going shopping this Saturday in Manhatten.... all day affair, maybe longer.

Yea, you all know where this is going.... The Moment that Woman leaves the house, we are going to spring into action.

Its All good as long as everthing gets hooked up before she gets home.
BTW.... Onkyo 705 coming in shortly, I'll order it today or tomorrow

Just tell her this is a man's world, and to step back while you bring your new system into the house.

My brother-in-law lives in Bohemia.

I'm laughing. The other day I mentioned the Onkyo 705 to my wife... she was like "Do we really need it?"

I told her in a dead pan delivery "We must have it"

Disclaimer: I'm a 45 year old 'hobby" guitarist. Over the years I collected guitars as I stummed acrossed them. My hall closet was full, so I off-ed two guitars I don't play on E-bay = New Toys for Poppa! :)

BTW Steve, we're in a little one traffic light town called "Ridge". Was a nice quite town.......... till I hook up my new HT stuff.:p

Hey, good job Nimrod. If I tried what you're doing I'd get busted all the way back to Private by the General of our house.

Lol

this thread reminds me of when I bought my new receiver? My wife never goes near the home theater, unless we're together. One evening I snuck it into the house hooked it up, sat back and smiled! Whewww that was easy and she'll never notice. Later on that week I decided to take the kids away and visit my mother over the weekend:)! You'll never guess who decided to watch a movie that night;). Anyways to make a long story short a dozen long stem roses will help, but now when I want to add something new, I must lay a foundation first:eek:.

Good luck, Billy p:D

This is a great idea; before I buy anything for myself I get something for my GF. I bought my GF a guitar before I received my fronts when I walked in with the boxes she said (With attitude) "What are those?" my response "Why don't you got practice your guitar in the room while I hook these up"

I must try this one. Not sure how straightfaced my delivery will be, though. You need some serious nerve to pull this one off. :D

Anyway, well done mate, congrats. Let us know how the Onkyo business goes through, seein' as the foundations will be already shaken ;)
