Hello,
I’m brand new to the forum so excuse me if I’m in the wrong place with this post! I’ve searched for L shape room info & haven’t had much luck so I’m hoping some guys here might have some tips.
I’ve recently upgraded to an RX-A 3000 & decided to go the whole 9 yards & hook up the 11.2 system using an external NAD 4 channel amp for the 4 presence speakers.

System as follows:

Receiver: Yamaha RX-A 3000
Power amp: NAD C245 BEE
Main Speakers: Richter Wizard MkII (large)
Center: Richter (large)
Side Surrounds: Richer Envoys – side mounted as a good height
Rear surrounds & Presence: Speaker Craft AIM8-3 & AIM7-3 in ceiling (had to use ceiling speakers due to room constraints, they do however perform much better than I thought they would & seem prefect for the presence channels.

Now the new subs are Velodyne CHT-12Q x 2

Previous to this I only had one smallish sub with my RX-V1300 which was an old Velodyne 79XII with 8” forward firing with 10” passive & about 80w RMS. So quite a boost in Bass now!!:D

First question: Is on the best location for the subs given the strange shape of the room and odd wall angles. The diagram shows where I have them placed at the moment; however there is some scope to move them a bit if you think there might be a better sound in another location? I’m not really up with subwoofer placement & have tried to find info but it’s a challenge with my room shape.

Second question: would the room shape / size benefit with an additional subwoofer? (Not sure if it’s in my budget at the moment but would be handy to know)

Thanks!:)

Yes thanks, Ive gone though that in detail now I'll play around with it a bit & see how I go , the front one seems a bit boomy, might be the strange wall angle, so I might play around with it a bit
