I am hosting a large conference call at my house this weekend (fantasy baseball draft), and we always have a difficult time hearing the speaker-phone because of the size and number of people in the room. Is there any way to output the audio from a phone to my Yamaha RX-V2500, so that I could play the phone call over my surround system? Does anyone know of a reasonably priced phone that has this capability? Thanks in advance.

does your phone have a 1/8" headphone out? you may be able to get an 1/8" to rca adapter, though it'd probably only output mono to your receiver, that being one would be sound the other would be mic input

When I was in high-school, I opened my phone up and connected the wires for both the mic and earpiece to a connector and ran it through my boombox. Kind of a poor man's speakerphone. That being said, there probably is a way to do it. I'd be a little more hesitant to jury-rig it through my AVR though.

Have you tried looking at any office supply places or Radio Shack, I recall they used to sell a kit for around $20-30 that allowed you to hook up a tape recorder to your phone to record conversations. Some thing like that should work.

Just watch out for feedback, with that much speaker available, could easily overwhelm the phone mic
