Obtaining a transistor

I have a Denon AVR2000 and an A1491 transistor has blown out. How can I get a new one? I have tried Radio Shack, Fry's, the internet, etc.

Welcome to the forum!

I did a quick internet search and found a couple of places that sell the A1491 - one in Canada and one in the UK. I didn't do an exhaustive search, though.

Have you spoken with anyone at Radio Shack? The part number doesn't come up on their website, but they may sell a replacement part that would do the same job. Just a thought.

There's also the 2SD part, which is slightly different. I'd really need to know which one it is to be sure, but I'm guessing it's the 2SA as that is more popular in AVRs.

Do you know why the transistor burnt out though, before you replace it?
