Hi,
Im just recently getting into the whole home theater experience. I just purchased an HDTV two days ago and im looking for a "surround sound" solution for me. I was looking at the Onkyo HTS 770 as a possible solution, but i wanted to see what you all thought about that system before going out and getting it. IM looking to not really spend more than 500-600 dollars on it since im just now starting to get into it.. This set up is for my apartment so i don't need anything thats going to be complete overkill... But any input is welcomed..

Thanks

Hey there

I would go and listen to it first before I bought it...Better to be safe than sorry. You may want to shop around...you might be surprised what you can find as far as separates go. If I had to buy a system I would buy the Onkyo TX-SR601 you can find it for about $320 now and for an apartment I would buy the Dayton Home Theater set:

They are nice and small and sound very good in a small apartment sized space.

Don't skimp on the receiver, you don't want to have to replace it in a year.

Good luck I hoped that helped
