Coming from Italian blood, wouldn't bother me. In Italy, this would be a thing of envy people wanting to see your wife, girlfriend naked. I have a very attractive wife and I say go ahead and look because I'm the one who goes home with her

I'm not trying to white knight Jennifer Lawrence, believe me I don't give a damn about her. True she makes a lot of money trying to look sexy, but she didn't do it by fully exposing herself. I guess there is some kind of line there. Anyway, these pictures were stolen from her, from what I understand. I think it is troubling how casually people view these pictures (the procurement of which was likely the result of a felony), and the violation of her privacy. The justifications for this activity are ridiculously weak. If you were her father or anyone else who cared about her, you would not think the theft and public release of intimate pictures were so harmless. There is no shortage of naked girl pictures on the internet, why not just restrict viewing to those ladies who are more willing for public exhibition.

So here's the thing: In this day and age, celebrities can pretty much EXPECT this will happen, so if you have things you don't want people to see, then they shouldn't be where some jackwad hacker can potentially get to them. Nobody is saying it is OK that it happened or that it should be taken lightly, but it isn't the first time and certainly won't be the last time that something like this happens.

I use the cloud to backup my pictures, videos, and music. I can understand why folks are upset about this leak, but personally, I could care less if someone wants to see a picture of me in the shower naked.

I get that it's usually women that is why I replied and ended my post with !!

As for the hormones part, well I guess I have been lucky enough to have enough of the real thing averting the need for nude texting and such.

Hacking is the very reason why I don't use the cloud to store my personal pics. Being an IT proffessional, I knew it was just a matter of time before a hacker would get through.

Depends on 'which cloud,' but I see your point. Apple hasn't been particularly good about security, from the ease of doing password resets to social engineering their employees.

One of my problems with Apple's iCloud is that it leads people into using it and defaults ON. I strongly believe most of these celebrities didn't know they were syncing to iCloud, and didn't really understand its implications.

I sympathize with the victims of these photo thefts. It's a bitter lesson learned. The difference between them and us is that they are celebrities and we ain't. That makes them targets for @$$holes sitting in their mom's basements. I'm no IT whiz whatsoever, so I could be off base. I'm guessing that cloud storage security is probably sufficient for most of us. Hey, we all have personal info on multiple servers. The problem is that for celebrities like these women, people are actively trying to hack into their accounts, so they have to be especially paranoid about these things.

There's no lesson learned here. They are celebrities and like it or not, in various forms, this has been happening to them for as long as there have been celebrities. If you want a private life, celebrity is probably not the job for you.

Apparently in the case of Ms. Lawrence, her embarrassment is because the pictures illustrate her unique way for giving her face that healthy glow without using formulated facial products. No pics of Oprah or Pelosi though.

Droppin loads on photos, even realistic ones, is easy in Photoshop. Common request in /r/ on 4chan ... called a 'c*mshop'

Remember some time back a wife or a girlfriend of a guy in the store had a small tattoo on her shoulder that was visible and took a brief look. I thought the guy was going to drop me right there.
