sound could be indeed helpful in HT environment, but for most music - not so much
well... my primary goal is for HT only not music. didnt know there was so many differences in speakers. Amazing to see such new technology out there like this. lol i just need something nice for HT movies and PS3 games and what not... now the only subwoofer i have herd in person was a Klipsch the higest one best buy carys and i know that one shook the store i think it was this one Klipsch - 8" 350W Powered Subwoofer - SW 350 anyone familiar with them?

one other quick question it may not matter but does it hurt to miss match all these speakers? or is it very common? everyone i know has a matching set of things.

Your front three should match. Same company, same line, same series. It won't matter as much with your surrounds.

ok so avoiding that sub it seems most are telling me i will be pleased with the Infinity P363BK or the EMP E55Ti....so seems thats my main two choices then so out of them can anyone tell me pros and cons of those 2 speakers or does anyone else have opinions of others? and are either of these something that i may be good down the road to keep or would i want to upgrade in the future? and what kind of full range sound to they have? i had friends who bought systems that without a subwoofer at all sounded horrible.

EMPs much better looking, more neutral sound, need more and better power.

Infinity, not as nice looking, probably a brighter sound (somewhat colored), easier to drive (more efficient), more bass but not as tight-

this based on the reviews of both (professional and user). At close to the same cost the EMPs are a much nicer speaker to build a system on IMO.

Both are balanced natural sounding speakers. the infinities might have a bit of a midbass hump above 100hz but neither will ooze with obnoxious bass... only what's on the recording. Adding a sub will add some depth in the lowest octaves but unless you set your sub up hot and obnoxious it won't sound like a thump thump night club. For reference the e55tis have roughly the surface area of a 10" woofer... they can play loud but they're not designed for bass to dominate the sound.
