Noob - Any opinions with the Integra DTR 30.1??

Hey All, new to this forum, new to audio in general......

To start:
I am starting to build a system and I am really leaning towards Klipsch rf-62 speakers (heard a couple and I like these, just buying towers to start). When I asked about what he would suggest to pair with these speakers they guy told me an Integra DTR 30.1 receiver.

The receiver is around $800, but would sell at discount if paired with speakers at $700.

Questions:
1) Any opinions about this receiver?
2) Would choosing another receiver (i.e. Yamaha RX-V665) and spending the difference on an amp be a better decision? (Leaning towards Emotiva amps)
3) Don't really see myself using the new sound formats like PLIIz in the future so basically, should I save money and choose another features (ins/outs) compareable receiver?

Thank you for all advice and knowledge shared! :)

I have the Integra 30.1 and the Kilpsch RF-62s. Sounds great no issues.

The only thing I don't like about the 30.1 is that there is no OSD while using HDMI inputs. Not a big deal, but I wished it worked.

Thanks for the input!

Glad to hear that set-up is already working well for someone else.

Seems to be that the DTR-30.1 seems to be the counterpart to the Onkyo TX-SR607 (does pretty much the same thing, costs much less). However I would take a look at Marantz's offerings at your price point. Try accessories4less.com. You'll find they have ample power for most speaker systems, and they have preouts for all channels for most of their models.
