I recently purchased a wii and some component cables. I had it hooked up to the component input of my Emotiva LMC processor. I had no video. I then hooked it up to the composite input and had video. I changed the output of the Wii from 480i to 480p and plugged the component cables back in and still had no video. I would like to know if there is a setting i need to change on the projector, the processor, or is the projector not capable of the Wii's output setting at 480p.
Thanks for any help.

That projector should take that 480p. Can you try component cable directly to the projector? Did you select component on the projector?

I'll try going directly to the projector tonight. I just wanted to make sure that the projector was capable of 480p.

The projector can take 480i, 480p, 720p, and 1080i on the component video input without issue. So, it screams to me as being something that is cable or hardware related outside the projector.

No, you don't have to change any settings in the projector to make this happen.

If there is a setting in the Wii for component video... then that's something I'm unaware of since I don't own one.

there's no wii setting for component/composite other than the selection of 480i/p.. and you do have to select 480p for it to work with component... I have a similar Panny projector and it works just fine with my Wii... Id venture a guess that its an issue with the processor

I realized last night that i forgot to change the setting for that input from composite to component. I did it last night and it worked beautifully. I didnt think i would notice that much of a difference, but the colors looked richer with the component cables. Thanks all for the help.
