No TV audio from HT-SC670

I am having trouble getting my tv audio to play through this system, I have the rca jack attached to back of tv, audio out(red and white) to the audio in on reciever, and tuned to tv mode, but nothing happens. Anyone familiar with this HTIB, or have any advice? The product manual gives no advice whatsoever that I could find( I resorted to reading it word for word, page by page!) Thanks for any help

There may not be any signal coming from the TV's audio out. There may be either a switch on the back of the TV or a setting in the TV's menu to enable external output.

If everything on the TV seems in order, try plugging the cables into something other than the TV and see if you get any sound.

Check the TV audio menu or the manual

Sometimes these jacks are not always active. I know on my proscan it behooves me to activate these, in either the fixed or variable mode and turn the internal speakers off. Again, RTFM.

Karp, you are right. I changed the jacks to the audio out on my digital cable box to the aux on the back of reciever and the sound is loud and clear. Thanks
