No Sound FL & FR: Need Help Diagnosing

Hi y'all. I'm new here and just bought a pair of Polk Monitor 60 II towers, and a Polk CS1 Center, all powered by my Yamaha RX-V365 receiver. This will be a 3.1 (currently sans sub). I have an HTPC coming through as my sources.

Moved to a new house Saturday, wired up the speakers yesterday with 16 gauges, and fired up a movie via the PC, and only the center had audio. FL and FR had no signal. I ran the tone test using the receiver, but nothing. the V365 provides both banana plug-ins and push-in/spring-lock connectors for the fronts, and I tried them both, but still nothing; the center is connected via push-in. I know it doesn't matter which set of +/- posts I use on the towers, but I tried connecting to one or the other. I also ensured that the receiver was setup for 3-speaker output (previously it was running 5-speakers).

Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I packed away the Yamaha manual and am still in the process of finding it.

Hey Wormhead,

I will check that out too. To be honest, I was wiring late last night, so I didn't spend much time troubleshooting. Mostly I was playing in vain with the Yamaha. I was sorely needing the owner's manual.

So as it usually is the case, it WAS a big d'uh moment -- I switched to Speaker A and BAM, there was sound!
