No Picture through HDMI in my oppo 80

I just got me Oppo 80 . I have a Mit HD1000 projector (720p). When I connect it through HDMI slot of Oppo directly to projector I cant get the picture. I am also not getting the picture through component. However I am getting a picture through the composite (yellow) connection. What could be the problem. I have tried downgrading the signal to 720p but it doesn't help. Please Help!!!

This may be a dumb question, but are you sure the projector itself is on the correct input?

and have you tried a different HDMI cable and to make sure that the HDMI cable is seated securely in the connection?
