Dang you take some good pics.
Thanks. Yeah, they are ok...
I use to be into photography (film) slr, about 8 or 9 years ago.
I probably shot about 3,000++ rolls of film.
(maybe more)
Maybe I could become a Audioholics personal photographer
(just kidding)
Anyhow, great story.
Since I had went to the Indy race (about 4th or 5th race now).
I was thinking of a old friend. B. Brickhouse (yes he is related to the ex Nascar driver)
I was kind of a part time pit crew for B.B. in my mechanics years.
It was a SCCA Renault R17.
Anyways, I had not seen him in years.
So I did a web search on his name.
Ended up finding where he lives and # over the internet.
Spoke with his wife, he was out. So I am now waiting on a call from a old good friend...
I did the same for my mother once. Found a girlfriend of hers from 25 years ago.
Living in California and is doing some movie production work.
Got the name and #, and once again - old friends can catch up.
The web (although dangerous) can be a great thing.
EDIT:: For Matt's comment below...
well actually about 98% of them came out good.
A couple of underexposed images (because I failed to change the ISO)
(changeable ISO is a great thing
)
The D50 kinda overexposes, so I usually will compensate for that.
I just figured since I was there for 9 hours, that I would go ahead and fill up the 2.5 gigabytes of memory.
And NO, I DID NOT- AND DO NOT Check the LCD screen after a shot. (well, 1 or 2 shots I did)
I also never use automatic mode.
Most time I will do full manual, and set my shots up the way I want them...
(if I had the money I would buy a D200 just for the ease of buttons for manual, it has no automatic mode)
But when in a hurry, I will do aperture priority mode. (sometimes shutter priority)
(pretty much the whole race I did that, except a few shots that were full manual).
