Ok, this is to give you guys something to look at other than audio equipment.
This was the Indy race (on my birthday - see user name).
Sadly, Danica Patrick did not race, due to the death of fellow team-mate.
P. Dana was killed/died (RIP), during practice session.

Anyhow, yeah thats Gene Simmons. (so in a way, I kept this somewhat of a audio or rather music thread)
(That is, if you like KISS)

(I think jaxvon asked - how did I get a media pass. It is not a media pass, (to bad), just a Paddock pass)

I've got better ones of her. But I figure 20 pics is enough.:p
I have one, where she was jumping onto the trailer, and almost fell on me.
It is just a pic of her face, she was close enough for a kiss (no pun intended - due to KISS)

Those are indy lights, not CART cars. The indy in vancouver was cancelled (Greg moore was the home town fav.) so I don't get to see it anymore.

Nice pics!

Greg, just a Nikon D50.
I was going to bring a better lens, but my wrists just can't handle holding it for more than one shot (it's just a tad over 2.5 pounds).
And I did not feel like bringing a monopod.

Sheep, these are Indy and Indy Pro/light cars.
Mixture of 2 races in those pics.

Indy 670 horsepower H/38" W/78" L/192" wt/1,525 (ovals) 1,600 (r course)
90% methanol/10% ethanol

Indy Pro 420 horsepower H/37" W/75" L/191" wt/1,460 lbs
Gasoline (I think its 110 or 116 octane)

Sound/wise db. Standing next to the track the Indy Pro does about 112db
The Indy cars where certainly 120+db (my ears rang, until the next night)

Trading in my car on this when I get back.;)
Actually there were a ton more cars. I was eating a hot dog, and did not take pics of them.
There were a few Ferraris, a Shelby Cobra 427, a couple Porches, etc...

Indianapolis will be a better sight at the end of June when the big show comes to town ;) . Formula 1 that is! In order to keep the USGP at indy, we (US F1 fans) need a lot of people to show up. If you can, go. General admission tickets are only $60. This year should be a great race.

Great pics by the way. Very nice shots. What does a paddock pass run for IRL events?

I was telling Brian that I went to a Nascar race up at PIR(Phoniex) this past summer and found that it just wasn't for me(redneck overload maybe)? I do like watching Indy, SCCA, 24hrs of LeMas, WRC but Nascar just bores me. I need to make it up there again for an Indy race. I think I'll have a much better time.

There is nothing like the sound of a V8 revving at over 20,000 rpm (not in person yet). (last year I was able to hear the V10's at 18,500+) The technical highlights and engineering aspects are what lured me in. I am completely hooked now. If you are into open wheel cars on road courses F1 is the absolute best.

I cannot stand a

National
Association of
Solely
Contrived
Auto
Racing

Race. They are completely boring.

From my understanding they put on a rev limiter this year to 10,300 rpm for Indy.
I sent you a PM on the pricing, and that I use to go to Nascar all the time....

EDIT:::
Here are a few more pics for you fellows.
The wrecked car, is Carpenter's car. That is the one Dana crashed into.
The babe, as well as the prior pic - Is Jamie Little (sports announcer)
The fellow in the prior pic with her is my stepfather.

EDIT:: BTW, chiclets for the pics would be appreciated.

Ok, I also broke down. And gave a better pic of Danica (see post #17).
I still have more. But as is said 'that's all folks'

If you are speaking of this woman (new pic added).
That is Danica Patrick (Indy car driver).

The other is Jamie Little (sports announcer).

I don't care what she looks like, a chick that can drive at that level really gets my motor going :D

Be sure to use lots of protection on that motor. Nothing worse then thermal breakdown.
