No AUX in on my new receiver - Advice

I have a new Onkyo RZ810 receiver. I wanted to get a Google Chromecase Audio and stream the music from my phone to my home theater. Should have been easy, plug Chomecase 3.5mm jack into AUX audio on my receiver. When I opened the door on the front of the receiver for the first time ever (on any receiver I've ever owned) there was no audio in jack, just an HDMI in. Does anyone know how I can use the Chromecase to get music to my receiver?

Looking at the specs on Crutchfield, It should support Bluetooth to your phone which may work out for you. If you have an iPhone, AirPlay over WiFi is the way to go on iPhone. Also that model supports Pandora and Spotify direct in the receiver. And it seems to be promising Google cast later in a “future firmware update”. As far as your specific question, the android guys will have to answer... Also lately I am a Pandora Plus guy thru my Yamaha receiver direct which is 5 bucks a month to avoid ads... Good luck! :)

Thanks for the quick reply snakeeyes. I have a Note 8 and really don't want to use Bluetooth for a variety of reasons. Streaming through the Chromecast, from what i have read, is a much better option than Bluetooth. I just have never seen a receiver without an audio in on the front of the device (or on the back for that matter).

None of my avrs have a 3.5mm input. Either use an 3.5 to l/r rca composite cable or the optical connector? The avr also has built in wi-fi so why do you need the Audio Chromecast at all?

Or use the optical....and if you're just casting, like via a Bubbleupnp app from the android device, what's so hard about navigation?

According to Onkyo's website, it already has Chromecast baked in. Is that not the case with yours? Check your firmware version to make sure it has that.

If all else fails, as said above, you can use a simple 3.5mm to RCA adapter OR a mini-toslink adapter to run optical, since the Chromecast actually runs both out of the same port. Neat tech really.

Thanks for all the great advise and the links. Big help. WFIW - My last Onkyo did have an audio AUX on the front. Not sure why they changed. I think the easiest is to use one of the links BoredSys provided.

Thanks again, everyone. : )

I never even noticed that when I got the new receiver (typical me, not reading the owner manual). I'll check it out, BoredSys. Thanks for the link.

I see all kinds of audio inputs on the back of the Onkyo RZ810. Six of them, any of them except the phone would work fine. Do you need more? If you need a 3.5mm jack, buy an adaptor cable. Am I confused?

I already have my solution, Hemiram. Read the thread and I won't have to retype everything.

Thanks for your response.
