Niles Outdoor Speakers

I live on the gulf coast of Florida and am looking to add some quality outdoor speakers to my porch and pool deck. I've heard some good things about Niles for this sort of environment. Any opinions? I don't need a lot of bass or high volume, just good clean mids and highs. I also saw that onecall has some smaller Niles speakers on clearance:

Do you think these would fit the bill for my needs? I am willing to spend a little more if needed, but I also don't want to pass up a good deal. Thanks.

Niles Speakers

Hello, I used do home theater installation with a good friend. We would use Niles Audio in many different applications. I was also told by my boss, that they actually put a pair or whatever of the bigger outdoor speakers on a military ship and let them sit out for around or over a yr. Then, they took them off the ship and hooked them up and I guess they played great. Whether or not that is true? I think they are great speakers for outdoors, especially where your at. I am not sure if they hold up to hurricanes? Take it easy.

I have had a pair of OS-20 speakers for over 4 years now. I bring them indoors during the winter as we are rarely outside for any lenght of time when it gets that cold. They have held up very well through the other 3 seasons of weather we get here in PA. I have not used the other Niles speakers but did audition the OS-10 a while ago and went with the 20's for the better bass...it's hard to accomplish good bass sound outdoors but the 20's do it fairly well...very staisfied with the mids and highs too! I'll be looking for another pair soon but I want to also hear the Speakercraft and NEAR models that I've read about. I have seen some decent deals on the 20's on ebay in the past.

I have had Niles OS-10 indoor/outdoor speakers in my living room for 5+ years. They sound very nice, although they are a little flat unless you use with a sub (which I do)

I checked out a bunch of wall mounts & bookshelf speakers before buying these, but the sound, the ease of mounting and the price made these a winner. Also, it seems like everyone carries Niles, so they're easy to demo.
