I must say, when I first started posting here about the differences in sound from one receiver to another, I too was lambasted, and I wasn’t even ranting. Just some food for thought.

BTW - I too clicked the link, and that guy is deranged and has no business being in business.

Crazy

I originally thought that the first post was a phishing scam to drive us to the aaa.audio site for nefarious purposes. Since all of you already took the plunge, I finally checked it out.

Turns out that every one involved with that site seems to be one off, if you know what I mean.

Not me, screw the court system, I have a (cough-cough relative cough) who would pay "Ping" a "visit" I'm pretty sure when he was done. Ping would be hand carrying a new solid gold plated amp with sincerist apologies for my inconvience.

I remember when I was a teen and my my twin sister was dating this older guy who one day in anger beat on my sister. Let's just say this "relative" paid him a visit and the strangest of things, he broke up with my sister and moved out of state the very next day. Sometimes it's nice to have "freinds" in low places.

Ha, that's funny. And if you look at his website, that "gentleman" is lying again.

Ping of AAA Audio states he offered to : "Buy back his unit with audigon rate. He wants us to pay the full new unit retail price of $1600 at the time he bought his unit. he bought the unit as demo from a dealer and paid much lower than $1600."

Ping offered me only $400 to settle. We signed a contract stating that he would send me back a repaired Dussun V8i. The Audiogon rate is nowhere near $400 for a serviceable Dussun V8i that retails at $1800. That's why I asked for $1150-$1250, a fair price and something that can be considered Audiogon rate. That man is a snake.

"...woman uses scissors, man uses our hand..."

It's pretty hard to be Solomon when disputes are aired from one party. Maybe that's why some folks here have taken a less than supportive view of the OP position.

And then there is the manner in which the distributor chose to respond to this issue. I'm trying to envision a situation wherein a customer would removed a transformer prior to sending a failed amp in for repair under warranty, and to further complicate the matter, to cut the wires rather than unplug the harness. And to add insult to injury, to use scissors (like a girly-man) instead of hands (like a real man). Yes, the dealer has that comment posted on his site.

There's a part of me that wonders why anyone would put out $1,800 for a product being offered from a web site that looks like it was put together by someone who never leaves his bedroom. That aside, and assuming that the dealer did tear out the transformer in an effort to point blame at the customer and thereby relieve himself from responsibility for repair or replacement, then it would appear that there is good reason for a small claims action.

I wouldn't pay $1,800 for a 2 channel amp from a site of questionable reliability, but I would gladly pay for a red eye flight to either Newton MA or San Francisco, CA, which ever is closer (he apparently does business in both states), in order to take on somebody who I believed screwed me, in small claims court for all costs associated with my loss (including travel).

More lies from Ping Gong. Look at what he says on his website @ http://aaa-audio.com and compare it with the email he sent me on March 18th in which he claims to have repaired it. (Note, he never claimed the amp was damaged in transit until he went off the deep end.)
"After received the unit in this bad condition, we still tried our best to save it for him. We spend extensive time to exam and test the hardware and boards. After some exam and test, me personally with one of our service guys, ( i will write some story about our two service guys late, they both had stories.). we concluded that it is a dead meat. it is totaled. We gave our customer 2 options."

I have changed both transformers and will let it run for a while. I need you send me a return shipping label next week. I am not going to pay for return shipping. All vender does the same thing, I just send a Sony back for repair and paid both way shipping, but I take care of your unit after a few days warrantee expired. Hope you realize it.

Again, sorry for take so long.

Again it is the second unit of all Dussun models we have repaired so far, just let know.

best

I agree with other poster if you want to get full refund you will need to spend up to three hundred bucks for round trip air and a room for one night just so you could file in small claims court I know I would no matter what, if this guy did all you say his *** would go to court, venting here is good for the soul warns others that would otherwise not buy there anyway and by coming here you will possibly tick the guy off but the bottom line is the real satisfaction will only come at the hands of a judge in court.

Ping has gone off the deep end yet again and stated that my life is in his hands now. He has gone from just taking my amplifier to appearing to threaten my life. Be careful with Ping and AAA-Audio. He's highly unstable...

Ping,

Please check your facts. I never posted your personal Yahoo e-mail address. Show me where I did. Besides, you claim to only give your personal email address to your friends. Are you saying we're friends now, Ping? Friends don't lie, cheat and steal like you have.

I was in the Marines when I was younger but not anymore. Once a marine, always a marine! Semper Fi, always faithful. I have been faithful to you -- I have never told you a lie...

My life is in your hands? Are you threatening my life? Perhaps a restraining order is necessary. After all, you do have an image of a dangerous knife on your front page. Treating customers like, "the King" means threatening their life? You're a sick man, Ping Gong.

Regards,
Dave

Were I contemplating a law suit, I would turn down the volume of these exchanges with Ping Gong. Who knows how the emails would be interpreted by the court?

Were I not contemplating a lawsuit, I would drop the matter and move on with my life.

The man that committed fraud against me threatened my life. I don't know about you, but I know how to interpret that.

Maybe you should consider who your friends are. I'm not taking his side. I think you got screwed. I also know that your rhetoric in the emails will not aid your case in court no matter how whacked out Ping comes across. You might think that you are building a case, I think you are giving him openings. As someone who has presided over mediation hearings, I see trouble ahead for you in court if you keep up the the tit for tat emails. Small claims court is not the same as Judge Judy.

Sue or get off the pot.

I am done.

^ Consider who my friends are? I don't understand.

The guy committed fraud. Now he's threatening my life and states that he has my address. He's dedicated a large portion of his company's website to this issue and includes a picture of a knife. I told him I am concerned for my life and for him not to contact me anymore. He keeps sending me emails and I won't respond.

I'm contacting a lawyer. Ping Gong of AAA Audio has gone too far.

I guess if people are defending Ping then they must be sick in the head like him. His behavior is beyond excusable. A vendor threatening to harm a customer? You must be out of your fricking mind!

We've already told you what to do. We already know the guy is nuts. I suggest you take this to court also discuss with the police or a lawyer what you can do about the threat on your life. I suggest you proceed with caution and stop posting. He may have a mental illness and need help. If so what you are doing isn't right I think you can see that. I have no issue with people that have issues, but if someone comes into your unit complaining about someone else and just arrived you wouldn't like it either.

Sorry dude, but judging by the sorry state of his site and his almost uncomprehendable English, I'm surprised you did business with him in the first place. I'm sorry, but if a person's English is so bad that they sound like a 3rd grader, there is no way I would trust them with my money.
