Nice pair of Towers for $1280/pr (if gloss white works for you)!

These have the ceramic tweeter that I am so fond of (I consider it in the same league as the RAAL and good Be tweeters)!
I have heard a pair of bookshelf speakers from the same series (the Chrono SL-536.2) and making the reasonable assumption that these are in line with those, you'd need to get the Philharmonic DIY BMR's for the next step up in SQ, IMHO!

This is a lot of well-designed & well-built speaker for $1280/pr (7" mid-range and 2 ea. 7.9" woofers with down-firing port):

Edit: Don't be confused by the gloss black SL-596DC which is currently also priced at $640/ea.
If it doesn't have the XXX.2 on the end of the model number, it doesn't have the ceramic tweeter!
That is the earlier model before the tweeter trickle down!

I usually don't like White, but... I wish.
