Hey man, Only flaw to it looked to be the charger issue not charging properly. If this has been corrected or not that big an issue as the reviews states I'll take it if you can go $80 shipped to 76126.

It's true, the 880 dock was horribly designed (the worst I have ever seen for any kind of charger for any kind of product). However, someone here said that they did improve it at some point, but I don't know how you guys will figure that out.

Perhaps an email to Harmony support, with the serial number of the unit could lead to information.

EDIT: and if it happens to have one of the badly designed chargers, maybe they will send a better one out for free?

I don't know what this problem with the charger might be. I've had my 880 for over 2 years and have not had a single hitch with it. I guess I was lucky...

I have an 890 that had charging issues, but a fw update fixed that, works fine now for a couple years.

I've got an 880 with the bad charging base. The charging issue can be easily avoided if you are aware of it. 2 things to note:

1. Don't let your wife place the remote on the charger (unless she's as anal about your gear as you are. mine definitely is not)

2. place the remote on the charger and watch for the slideshow and battery charge indicator start to scroll. if it stays on the home screen and shows the IR icon steady, remove it and TRY AGAIN!


that said, the 880 is a great remote; still love it 3ish years later.
