Newegg says the Pioneer SP-FS 52 Speakers are discontinued...anybody know what's up?

I've been considering getting the SP-FS 52 speakers (plus the center channel & satellites) and want to catch them on sale.

While they are still readily available, Newegg says they are discontinued signaling a possible shortage in the near future.

Anybody know what's going on? Are they discontinued? Is Pioneer upgrading them like the 51 to 52?

Best Buy still has them. Maybe Newegg has just stopped carrying them and the 22's. I see neither on the Newegg site.

They are at places like Amazon, Parts Express, TigerDirect and Best Buy

Discontinued as in they don't have them, not that they are out of production or unavailable. Newegg hasn't had them in a while as a matter of fact.

They are on sale at Amazon and BB right now also. Not the lowest they've been, but not bad.

Other than an amplified speaker, you pretty much don't need a warranty on a speaker IMO. Plus, as long as you buy them at one of the recommended places new, the warranty stands.
