Newbie with a sub repair question

Hello. I'm a new member and should probably be posting elsewhere, but the category fit, so here's my situation. I have owned an Onix Rocket ULW-10 for about 8 years, I think. Up until a couple of weeks ago, I've been very happy with the sub. However, recently I noticed that my subwoofer sounded like crap; they sounded totally fried, which is puzzling, since I don't play music past 9 o'clock on the dial; I use a NAD C370 Int Amp rated at 120 wpc. I couldn't have blown the cone or anything, so I'm thinking that the amp needs a new capacitor or something. The big problem is that the company I purchased the sub from, AV123, is now defunct, due to allegedly a combination of management and, towards the end, product reliability issues (from what I've read). Any suggestions to where I can find a reliable repair facility? Or maybe an amp kit so I could do it myself? I don't have experience in repair, but I don't mind tinkering, when it's straight forward. Any help would be appreciated. I feel like I could trust what comes out of this forum. Thanks.

Unfortunately, it isn't allegedly, the story of what happened to them is well documented and it was basically one name. We shouldn't get into that though.

Sub amps tend to be the Achilles heel and will usually go first. What I'd most likely do is simply pull the amp and cover the hole (or even leave it in) and add speaker level inputs direct to the driver and power it with an external amp, once you've determined the driver is OK.

JGarcia- Wow. Six months later, I'm replying. Poor etiquette on my part. I ended up purchasing a Dayton SPA 250 amp from Parts Express that was simply a drop in with no modifications. The sub sounds great but with no equalizer that was on the original; the Denon Audessy helps to integrate it into my system/room, though. Hope this amp holds up. Others in a similar situation, check out PE.
