Here is my dilemma: I have a Yamaha RX663 AVR, Panny BD35 which I used to play CD's. I have a Harmony 670 remote that is programmmed such that I use "Watch Movies" to activate the Blu Ray to listen to CD's. My problem is that I cannot watch TV at the same time. I ran HDMI from AVR to TV and then HDMI from Digital HD Cable box to AVR and BRP to AVR with HDMI also.

I am looking for a solution if any of you have any ideas?

Why on earth would you want to do that?

You will have to buy and HDMI distribution amp, and connect one HDMI output from the distribution amp and one to your TV. It will cost you significant money.

Since the Yammy sees the Panny as a video source generally, you need to run some stereo analog or digital (coax/optical) connections from the Panny into the Yammy's CD input. Then program the remote accordingly and see pg 45 (Playing video sources in the background of an audio source) of the Yammie manual.

I'm with you bud. As crazy as it sounds, there are times when I watch tv and listening to music, so your not alone. Does your receiver have a video select option where you can change the video source on the fly with one button? This was a feature I was looking for when I purchased my Pioneer Elite, but it's not rare, and I would presume other receivers have it as well

I quite often listen to music while watching sporting events...there is no real need to hear the play by play when I can see what is happening.

Had the same issue the cable box input is going into the receiver thru Hdmi and to the TV thru component, I found that when switch the input on the TV to the component not the AV reciever, and hit pure effect on the front it works. The only thing is that the CD plays in pure effect mode only. If anyone else found out how to get it going any other way let me know.
