Newbie amp question

I am looking into probably getting an emotiva upa-7. I currently have paradigm monitor 9's, a cc-290, and adp-190's. Anyway my question is this....the adp-190's specs say that the maximum input power is 80 watts and the suitable amplifier range is stated as 15 - 100 watts. So since the upa-7 is 125 watts/channel is it too much power for the speakers? Would I be better off with a 3-channel amp like the xpa-3 for just the fronts? Sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm new to the amp stuff. Thanks.

Upa-7

speakers are more often damaged by turning the volume up too high on an under-powered amp. the rule of thumb is to use an amp that reaches towards the max. handling of a speaker(closer to 100 watts rather than closer to 15 watts). i just received the UPA-7 myself a couple days ago and it sounds great! it completely outperforms my older 100 watt per channel receiver. my speakers sound more alive, and the sound is louder but smooth without you realizing how loud. the volume knob on my receiver at the 9 o'clock position with the UPA-7 reaches the same output level as the receiver alone with the at almost the 12 o'clock position. you won't hurt your speakers as long as you don't turn it up too high, but you won't have to. besides, i'd rather have a little more power now in case i upgrade my speakers later rather than get a lower powered amp and feel its not enough if i upgrade my speakers later. good luck!:D

The short answer is that you will be fine with that amp.
