Explain to me why a company would build a sub with servo technology, dsp and eq calibration etc. to try and make a sub 'transparent', meaning remove any type of influences that might give it a perceived 'signature' and/or trait only to give a button preset in order to give a 'personality'?
I do not think this product is servo equiped and I think you can have the option of selecting what preset you want or not having a preset running. The presets are there for the average consumer who has no idea of how to setup and use a sub.
There are 4 presets, consisting of Movies, R&B - Rock, Jazz - Classical, and Games. As a preset is chosen, the light flashes the corresponding number of times. The presets provide the following characteristics for bass reproduction:
Movies: Maximum output and impact for
explosions and other action adventure
movie content.
R&B - Rock: Provides the driving bass found in today’s
rock music.
Jazz - Classical: The tightest, cleanest, lowest distortion
bass.
Games: Maximum loudness available for the
impact of video games.
