Velodyne Acoustics introduced yesterday the Digital Power Slot™ (DPS) Series subwoofers, an affordable line of subwoofers using DSP (Digital Signal Processing) technology to digitally control all functions of the subwoofer.
The
DPS series consists of the DPS-10, with a 10” forward firing driver (8.2” piston diameter) and 375 watts dynamic power, and the DPS-12, with a 12” forward firing driver (9.9” piston diameter) and 400 watts dynamic power. The DPS Series offers digital control of crossovers, equalization, dynamic compression, volume, phase, protection circuits and four selectable presets. Due to the accuracy of digital tuning, DPS subwoofers improve performance with greater output and impact, flatter frequency response and greater bass extension.
