New to Home Audio wanting to build crossovers

ive been into car audio and custom everything for about 5 years. And its now time to move into the home and build a 5.1 surround sound system. I plan on building my own enclosures, all the way threw to crossovers. And i am honestly stumped on crossover construction. If anyone can assist me that would be great.

X-over design is probably one of the more difficult aspects to building great speakers, and it will take a fair amount of experimentation and the equipment to test what you've done. I highly recommend picking up some books and visiting speaker design websites to get started.

what web sites are any good? some one attempted to show me a design with a set of speakers i selected, but then never exlplained what i was to do.
