New Theater setup completed!

Ok, I've been working on this for one day. But getting all of the components took about 6 months to complete. Very picky on what I wanted. Here is a list of components;

TV is a Toshiba 46RV530U 1080p. The receiver is a Yamaha RX-V665 (Thanks Audioholics store!) The DVD player is a Philips DVP-5992, plays Divx via DVD or External HD up to 500 gig (Fat 32) and up converts to 1080p. VHS is also connected for my sons old shows, and up converts to HDMI, totally incredible! Wall rack is a peerless PM610, without the glass. The speakers are Insignia 5.1 system, but I bought two of them to Make 9.2, but currently have 7.2. Front sub and a rear sub with a UPS. Each are only 50 watts, but sound amazing! The entire system is on an APC 1000Va UPS to protect my investment. Total wattage of system full bore is 350 watts. All the wires and speaker wire are hidden by peal and stick plastic conduit from Home depot. What do you think?

How do you cover the rack so all those lights aren't right in your eyes?

I would suggest moving it to a more practical location.

How is the height of the TV compared to line of sight when seated? I remeber helping my brother install a flat panel on the wall. We had to lower it 3 times before we got it a good height. You can get eye fatigue when looking up for a long period time.

That is some seriously frugal use of space. I like it when people pull off clean systems in rooms where it looks impossible. Great Work!

lol... The TV is MUCH brighter that the rack. lol. Besides the yamaha has a dimmer function if need be.

Actually, since its about 12 feet away, you're really not looking up, no more than when you are at a movie theater. I have it slighter higher so the kids can't smack it with their hands.

Thank you! I can't stand open wires, it has to be neat. Especially an LCD wall mount. I needed to have a rack for all my audio, since I did not want anything on the floor or in font of the doors you see. Thanks for the compliment. I enjoyed doing this installation very much. The hardest part was measuring the speaker wires. I pre-measured and pre-cut before putting them in the conduit, so I had to be dead on with the length. Whats that saying? Measure twice, cut once! A few people here said to do a 5.1 setup, but I just got the RX-V665, and there not a chance in hell I was doing that! LMFAO! Sweet 9.2 receiver and kill it with 5.1??...not a chance! So I had to figure out how to set it up as 7.2. 9.2 will be later if I wanted to try the "PRESENCE" speakers, However, this was alot of fun. Thanks for the kind words!
