Hello-I'm writing to ask for help in understanding how Home Theater Preamp/Processors work when it comes to sorting out signal & interconnect paths.
I'm putting together a plan for:
*A flat panel LCD w/ both HDMI & Component inputs.
*A Universal disc player which I hope to utelize the HDMI or Component outputs for video, the Digital Coax output for 2 channel stereo & Analog RCA outputs for 2 channel stereo & 5.1 channel SACD & DVD-A.
*My hopes are to have a processor that will have the HDMI input & the other inputs:Coax for 2 channel stereo & Multi-channel analog inputs for SACD/DVD-A.
THE SPECIFIC QUESTION I HAVE IS :WILL I BE ABLE TO GET ALL OF THESE DIFFERENT SIGNAL INPUTS OUTPUTTED OVER THE PROCESSORS BALANCED OUPUTS TO MY AMPLIFIER?
Do these processors output they're input signals on ALL output jacks regaurdless of whether they're analog RCA or Balanced?-(with the exception of 2 channel stereo vs. multi channel).
I'm trying to get an idea of exactly what type of cabling I'll need,how much & approximate costs.
