Hey guys, first off sorry if this is in the wrong area, I only just signed up...

So to kick it off... Currently I have a Pioneer XV-HTD5 DVD player/built in 5.1 amp... It's still working fine just the only issue I have with it now is that I can't connect my PS3 derictly into it because it doesn't have the digital audio input... Alas I wan't to be able to do this to best the best out of the PS3 audio (spesh with it being a later PS3 with the better audio chip)...

Now the bridge I have came across is, I'm not sure what my best option would be... I've been told to look at getting a Logitech (sorry don't know what model) suround sound setup which has the digital audio input... which is ~$400AU... The dis-advantage of going this way would mean no radio tuner which I use alot.

But what's crossing thru my head at the moment is upgrading speakers (as money permits), and then towards the end of the year getting a decent amp (been looking at a few of the onkio's (unsure on the spelling))... and in the mine time running a Digital Audio to Coxial Audio adapter so I can get 5.1 on the PS3...

But the one thing I'm not sure of is if the not-so-good amp in the pioneer dvd/surround sound can cope with running some fairly decent speakers or if it will just kill the amp (I have had a couple of issues with it latley)

At the moment I'm running the PS3, PC, and iPod thru my stereo...

Anyways, thanks for reading my ramblings guys and hope you can help me decide on which option would be the better one...

Thanks!
