I have finally sold my pb 2000 pro. Now i am looking for suggestions. One thing is that for 90s bollywood music ported does not perform well, actually is worse. Like i ran indian movie song it had no bass even after running subwoofer at -5dbfs. 1st of all i will have to add 2 subwoofers as one will have null issues as i have normal bedroom untreated and square room 13x11feet. I now want to try other brands as well. Like ascendo/monolith and any other you suggest. Sealed will be bad for movies? I have dali opticon 2 mk2 and denon x4800h.

That was a very good sub, and you don't really make any argument for anything particularly better. Most likely it is your setup and/or room particularly rather than the particular sub.

Are you streaming it off a specific platform??? or a CD or something? No bass could be a room issue , or caused by a bad audio source.
You could had tried sealing the ports instead of getting rid of it. How can a subwoofer that powerful have no bass? Did you try other sources like a Movie ? Was it calibrated wrong?

That kind of response is due to a set up issue. It's so severe, I don't even think it can be wholly attributed to room acoustics. It looks like you left the low-pass filter activated on the sub when you tried to integrate it with the speakers. Maybe sure the onboard filter in the sub is set to bypass.

Placement and crossover probably created the issues you heard or perceived. If you heard issues both ported and as sealed, that would likely explain it. The SVS response is flat free air, so your rooms effect is creating problems.

You have done something seriously wrong in your set up. I agree with Shady. You have to have done something idiotic to end up with a response like that. No idea what, but I can be certain there is idiocy at the bottom of this.

Wow, this got interesting , lol. :D
Thinking about it, I suspect an antiphase condition. Either speakers are 180 degrees out of phase with the sub, or there is a serious fault with his receiver. Either way, new are more subs will not solve a null like that. That is almost total cancellation in a crucial bass regions. Some I have no trouble believing the result is awful and likely worse than no sub at all.

Agreed, the sub may be in opposite phase of the speakers. I don't know what else could cause such a steep dip in the crossover region.
