I tried this question on a different site and wasn't too happy with the answer.
I have a Yamaha HTR-5860 receiver and Klipsch Synergy Quintet speakers and I just purchased the Klipsch KSW-10 Subwoofer to go with it. When I go into the setup menu on the receiver and set the speaker level for the sub, I can't hear anything more than a tiny little rumble and that is if I turn the volume all the way up on the sub and the sub speaker level on the receiver. However, when I watch a movie it sounds fantastic. I also poped in a DVD that has the THX audio tests on it and had the same results for the speaker test, but the crossover test seemed fine. Also, when i play a cd, it doesn't have that powerful of a bass sound.
I think I set up everything correctly, so why is it not performing the tests correctly?
Also, what is the difference between subwoofer phase 0 and 180?
