new sub hook up qustion

I just got a Velodyne HGS 15 I need to if I neet to use a Y conector or can I just plug it in with the one cable it does not have a LEF marked on it I will be hooking it up to a denon 3808

The Manual suggests both but if you only have 1 subwoofer out on your Receiver I don't see why 2 would make a difference. If anything it will help with the auto on feature. Try 1 and see where that gets you.

Just to note, I use 1 on my Velodyne DPS-12 and everything works fine. The DPS-12 manual suggests using just the "L" input if the signal is coming from an LFE source (like your receiver source). They usually include 2 inputs if you have a pre-amp feeding the subwoofer with both a L and R output.

ive run 2 on my hgs because of the dual voice coil. it does make a difference on this unit.

Im using the RG-6 for sub cable can I use a RCA Y conector with the RG-6

I would use the Y splitter because some subs that don't have an LFE input sum the L/R inputs for the amp. If you're only using one input you might not be getting everything out of it.
