Hello all, i am very new to this audiophile world but i picked some info here and there in order to setup my first sound system.
I am on budget here and try to pick affordable components, i understand it will not sound like the 1000$ piece out there but hope that it will do.
I will use --
WHARFEDALE 10.1 shelf speakers on stands with RX-V457 Yamaha receiver and i will connect the receiver to my Auzentech x-fi forte 7.1 sound card.
My room is small and i will use the system to play music, games and movies.
The question is will this do the trick for my quest to warm, rich and clear sound with a good amount of bass on these devices or i need to add other components to it, maybe get a good cable or a subwoofer, please tell me what you think i would love to hear some opinions and criticism!! :)
Thanks!

Have you listened to the speakers? If the sound good to you thats what matters. If you find that the sound isnt warm enough for your liking, you can always eq (roll off the high end) to tone it down. As for the sub, how large is you room? BTW what is your country of residence?

I live in Israel and those are the cheapest things i could find, and they sound pretty good in the store! but you know its a store so you cant really compare to where they gonna end or whatever.
My room is like 10.5 feet by 9.

The sub should be fine for the room, but don't expect much output below 32hz, which may be fine for your needs. Considering your limited options in your area you might consider having someone build you a good sub for less than your retail options.
