You should be connecting the BD player to the Marantz directly using Ultra High Speed Certified HDMI cables for every connection.

In almost all cases, at this point, it will be the cabling which is your issue.

Previous generation 10Gb/s HDMI cables do not work with 18Gb/s HDR 4K signals.

Monoprice has slim HDMI cables up to 8 feet in length. I've used the 8' cable at 4K/60 without issue.

I had bought the Belkin cable recommended by Apple and it solved my Dolby issues.

That’s pricier though. Will this mono price cable work just as good?

Don't get hoodwinked into buying 'expensive' cables because they have meaningless certifications on them.
HDMI cables are designed to meet specific bandwidth requirements. All they are is a conduit to carry data from your source to the receiver or the television. That audio and video is data, and runs at a certain bandwidth.

The current highest standard specification is 18Gb/s. The previous standard was 10Gb/s. So, you will want to get cables that are rated for 18Gb/s.

The total data package for Dolby Vision or Atmos, along with 4K/60 video content fits into a container that is just under 18Gb/s so any cable rated to that speed, should work.

NOTE: I said SHOULD WORK. 4K/60 and 18Gb/s data rates are still notoriously tricky. Even if a cable should work, if there is a bad connection or something else that was banged around in shipping or tweaked the wrong way, it may fail. If you unplug/plug a cable in too many times, it may also develop issues with passing that much data.

But, yes, I have personally used the Monoprice super-slim 18Gb/s certified cable with testing from a Sony Blu-ray player to my JVC projector with HDR content along with testing from my laptop, and it had no issues passing the full 18Gb/s signal. Unlike an existing cable I had which definitely could not pass the image through properly.

Once again: Don't believe the hype.

Of note, I also buy cables from Amazon, and most cables rated for 18Gb/s will be reviewed to work, or not work, on the Amazon website. This can save you quite a bit of money in the long run.
