So I've searched high and low and read tons of posts and learned a lot, but finding info comparing speakers from separate generations isn't so easy. So here I am to ask for help. Thanks in advance.
I have an all-in-one Onkyo 7.1 system purchased in the last year, my first venture into decent surround sound, and I've liked it well enough, but I'm ready to upgrade.
My first intention was to buy a couple Polk Monitor60's, as everyone knows they're a great deal on Newegg right now. 99 bucks a piece.
But recently, I now have the opportunity to buy a couple Paradigm Monitor 9's for 200 a piece. But these are much older Paradigms, and I don't know how they would compare. They're probably getting close to 10 years old. They have the dual 8 inch woofers with 1 inch tweeter.
So my question in short is:
NEW Polk Monitor60's for 100 a piece
or
10 yr old Paradigm Monitor 9's for 200 a piece?
