New PB12-Plus SVS Line

Well I know it has been discussed in several threads and I just stopped by the SVS page and saw that they have the new PB12-Plus up. There are no detailed specs as to the unit but the pricing is going to be pre-orders at a special $999 and regular pricing to be $1199. The most obvious difference is that they have moved away from the downward firing drivers to a front loaded driver. Design is much like the Ultra....

What I am interested to see is if they are keeping the same driver for this unit or if it is new as well?? Hopefully they will put up the specs soon on this....

i know some details about this sub, but was sworn to secrecy. so i've been keeping it to myself for some time now and it's driving me crazy.

I have no doubt that the specs will be quite nice for the unit. But now that they have gone to a forward firing design, I don't suppose they will be having another dual drive unit like the Plus/2...

Not that it matters on my end...lol...no upgrades for me as the 16-46 Plus isn't even a week old...

i've always been thinking to myself that they should change to front firing subs - notice, i've never bought their down-firing subs (i like looking at the drivers)

dual driver? i doubt it, besides there's little a single ultra can't do that the dual plus driver can

Im thinking new driver, why change a good product just to move the woofer to the front? Its got to be a total redesign...

Yep it is, driver, box and the amp (same Bash platform, but with different optimization curves). That's all I know, but I had to steal Mike's thunder .

That new driver looks pretty fantastic....Does anyone have any idea what their expanded small box line might be?? And does this mean they are going to be putting the new 12.4's in all the other models to replace the 12.3...

Makes me wonder if I might be able to get another 16-46 + for a reduced price if they are switching to a single PC12+....

Hmmmm

The new Plus Cab is only slightly smaller then the Ultra 13 cab...

Plus
25" deep, 19" wide, and 21" tall

Ultra
27” deep, 20.5 " wide and 22" tall


That will provide some good ability to go low..... great job SVS, you guys really have what it takes to keep the market alive with top quality subs.

I am also curious if the new Plus driver will be available to upgrade current 12.3 drivers... I have Twin PB12-Plus/2's here 2 drivers powered by a 900w amp each.... I wonder if they modeled that out...

I was asking about any possible small box desgins because at the end of the article it says they will be scaling the PC+ line down to just the PC12+ and will be expanding theri small box line....Could this mean an Ultra version??? Or just an update of SB12+ with the new driver....
