I'm hoping we will hear something more substantive than this fluff at CES...
Right!! As an avid audio/video user for many decades, + being on the lower end of the audio/video food chain<analogy, this isn't encouraging.
While I do hold out some hope for the Onkyo>brand I'm skeptic. What has sustained most of the audio market are the one's on budgets/funds. Life has lots more in store for the one's like me.
Paying a electric bill or water bill or rent or mortgage car note, insurance whatever. So audio/video can be a extra not really needed or placed out of context< analogies again.
One's with access to unlimited funds are able to enjoy this at a higher level which is great. Budget minded ones, get the trickle down technology to an affordable brand such as Onkyo or others.
AH members say "best bang for your buck" that's a very good analogy when recommended correctly. I could go on but your post seems to summon up better + a lot shorter.
