Hey all. In the ever so popular upgrading, I have a new pair of interconnects coming my way. The problem is, I only have one new pair. Where would be the best location for these? Between the CD player and Pre-Amp, The Pre-Amp and Power Amp, I'm an idiot and it doesn't matter, the weak link will still be the weak link?

Thanks

Yeah, I don't think it matters either.

But personally, it's more EXCITING to put it between the 2 most EXPENSIVE components.:D

So I should put them between my two speakers? How is that going to be exciting? I don't think that will work.

Sorry, just had to get a little humor in there.

I think I'll ditch the pre-amp and go straight to the power amp from the CD player to "hear the magical goodness".

Thanks

Just be careful. No volume control may be a disaster:eek:

What was wrong with the old cables? Wear out? No more electrons left? ;):D

Honestly, I think they've been around since the early 90's from my "car stereo days" and they were either the cheap $2 Radio Shack or Wal-Mart RCA cables, not any fancy high dollar stuff that everyone else has.

Also, the NAD amp has front "gain controls" or some kind of volume adjustment on the faceplate, but I will still be careful. Thanks for looking out for me.

I'm pretty sure most of us here use either Monoprice or Bluejeans for our cables. No real "fancy high dollar" stuff here. As long as it's good wire price doesn't matter :) I know I like my Monoprice stuff:D
