Yea, your stuff sure sucks.:D

I like Definitive for home theater, they seem to fit the bill very well. And more times than not I see Denon alongside.:D

In re-reading my initial post it wasn't clear.

This is the config I have yet to, but am about to,purchase; I am a complete neophyte...I was hoping for confirmation that I'm not about to make a big expensive mistake, that this system will be solid perfomance/valuewise...

Thank you all VERY much!

One word of note: don't expect the powered (sub)woofers in the 7006s to give you the deep bass for impact. You'll still want/need a true sub for that.

I have a sub from an older surround sound I planned on using.

It the Samsung HLS 6187 a good display?

Seems like its good bang for the buck....

Thanks!

The Samsung 6187 is a very good TV. I prefer the look of a direct-view TV like a CRT or plasma more than a projection screen, but that's not saying there's anything wrong with the DLP. As long as you like the subjective quality of the screen, it's a fantastic television. Just be aware that they have limited vertical viewing angles.
