I have $20 freebie BB dollars to spend, I would like to pick up a couple CD's and my current collection is very limited due to the great flood of '06 (in my mother in laws basement) I would like some suggestions of more off the beaten path artists. My listening tastes are jazz, most anything but a smokin' trio is always appreciated, classic rock, modern rock, I find myself a big fan of Nickelback, 70's super groups like foreigner and chicago and such, and classical, as far as this I would also like a good reference recording for when i go speaker shopping later this month. Thanks as always for your wealth of knowledge.

Sounds like you need a bunch of CDs. Tough to narrow it down to just a couple.
Good Dog, Happy Man by Bill Frissell and Seven Veils by Robert Rich are two that I can't live without.

Have you taken a look through the "20 Albums You Should Own, But Probably Don't" thread? It's there for exactly your type of question.

I went and listened to clips of both recommendations at Amazon and put the Frissell CD in my basket, thanks!

I have a big basket at Amazon, my ears are bigger than my wallet, some guy at Amazon is probably frowning trying to figure out how to get me to complete the sale:D
