If there are any hard core jazz fans out there, Bradford Marsalis has a DVD out now where his band is doing a live "reinterpretation" of John Coltranes "A Love Supreme" track for track. It features Joey Caldarazzo on piano, Jeff "Tain" Watts on drums and a bass player who's name escapes me. Anybody familiar with A Love Supreme doesn't need me to go on about how it's one of the greatest conceptual jazz albums ever done and its my personal favorite of Coltranes.
It's recorded live in Amsterdam in 2003. The sound is incredible and the video quality is top notch. A must have.
