Networked Component Advice

Hey guys, here's my issue. I have alot of TV shows from the internet. Mostly BBC episodes that aren't available on cable here. I'm totally addicted to Torchwood! Most are DIVX avi's and mov's of various TV episodes.

To view them currently, I just plug my laptop's A/V outs into the front of my A/V receiver and play them that way. Is there any component that can handle this duty? Are there any DVD players that can play avi, mpgs, movs, in DIVX format? What about some kind of networked storage device that can handle the duty. Besides building an HTPC of course.

Look at the Oppo 981-HD....I believe that handles the formats you're looking for.

I have the less expensive Oppo DV-970HD and it also supports DIVX.

Thanks for the responses, I'll look into the Oppo player.

I guess there is no universal player that does avi, windows media, mov, divx and Xvid, besides an HTPC.

That can always be a project for next summer.
