Kaleidescape demontrated that to me when I installed one over 2 years ago. Press releases can be so blantantly grandiose.

Well, I'll fuggeboudit if it don't cost $23k to get in the front door...

I'm no computer guru, so what's the difference between this & a few modded xboxes?
 
It appears to send both control data and uncompressed digital audio & HD video over RJ45 cables... I don't believe even Xbox 360 can do that. And it uses open standards which is nice.

I guess maybe they aren't the same.

Both Kaleidescape and Netstreams use TCP/IP... Open Standard?

I guess that within the packets for Kaleidescape, the data is still encrypted as it is on the actual media and hard drive. That being said, does this mean Netstreams is open to copyright issues?

Is this little tangent hijacking this thread?:confused:
