I'm in the process of looking for quality Home Theater Speakers package to match up with my AV Receiver Pioneer vsx-1120-k.

This receiver will be supplying 2 other room, and what will be a good pair speaker to put in these rooms?

Room 1 is the HOME THEATER
Room 2 is card table will be at, open bay.
Room 3 is the hobby room with walls

I know I will have to buy a speaker selector, because all speakers will not be on at the same time. Which one do you guys recommend?

Thanks for lending me your ears

What are you looking for in terms of quality? There are plenty of speaker packages available, as I'm sure you've seen, but they run the gamut of quality.

What are you looking to spend?

One thing you might consider is the same speaker for all applications. So for your HT room, buy Speaker X for all 5 channels (unless you want floor standers, as you can't really use those too well for centers!). In the other rooms, buy a pair of Speaker X as well. If you audition speakers and find a pair you like, assuming they can be bought individually, this shouldn't be a problem. They'll all be timbre/sonically matched.

One speaker I've seen others use just this way is from Bic America. You can find them here.

I assume for the HT you want 5.1? So you can audition subs as well with the speaker of your choice.

One last thing is you may not need the speaker selector at all. If you're looking to purchase a new receiver as well, some do 2 Zone and 3 Zone applications, meaning Room 1 would be Zone 1, Room 2 is Zone 2 and Room 3 is Zone 3.

If you are dead set on a package, I can't really help you there. I've never been a fan of pre-built packages unless they are from quality vendors (I would never buy a Sony, Pioneer or similar HT in a box again).

I can't comment too much on high end gear as I am an audiophile on a budget.

But I would look into this one for your room 1:

My main system is hooked up with my computer. I use Onkyo CS 325 Micro system receiver with Sony SS B1000 bookshelf speakers. I plan to change my receiver to Topping Class T TP21 since I never use the CD on my onkyo. This combo of Sony and Topping amp could also be suitable for your hobby room.
