Hello,

I'm gonna to buy Blue Jeans speaker cable (Belden 5T00UP 10 AWG) - is it a good choice? Or maybe there is something better for that price?
The second question: does it fit my speakers? :) I have JBL CONTROL NOW with spring clips (img543.imageshack.us/i/99359329.gif)... Any experience in connecting such thick wires to the spring clips system? Bare wires I mean.

Thank you!

In most cases, 10 gauge is overkill. Generally, anything between 12 - 16 gauge is perfect, depending on the length of the speaker riun.

And, as you suspect, I strongly doubt you'll be able to fit ten gauge wire into those speaker clips. Think Great Dane mounting a Teacup Poodle.

Assuming a normal length, go for 14 - 16 gauge.

I've used the 5000UP and I prefer the 4S11 from them. The 5000UP is great wire, but it isn't the easiest to work with and it isn't exactly nice looking.

10 AWG wire usually doesn't work well with most spring clip style speakers, and you absolutely don't need 10AWG.

10 AWG is also very inflexible... dual 14 awg would probably work better for a long run.

For most rooms a single run of 14 awg is more than enough.
