Need to find tweeter moutning plate for AV123 ELT525M Tweeter

Cracked the plastic mounting plate on the high freq driver on ELT525M.


Anyone know where I can purchase a replacement? Hoping it is a generic item, easily purchased!

Check with GR Research. Danny Richie helped develop the products, and has a surplus of their drivers (not sure if they have what you need, but it's a start).

Can you get the info off the tweeter as to who makes it? I am pretty sure the midbass was custom for them but can't find any info on the tweeter other than it is a 1" fabric dome. I had the same thing happen with one of my Paradigm tweeters. The trim rings are usually not sold separately, so it may mean replacing the tweeter.

Side note, I've heard these speakers and really liked them.

No info on the driver other than AV123, production date, and 'High Frequency Driver.'

Still working on tracking this down. Danny was not involved with AV123 for this speaker.

IIRC, Danny designed the X-over for them for that speaker. At least, a few reviews said that, I never actually asked him. Try the Skiing Ninja, as he used to be very active on the AV123 forums and offered various upgrades for their speakers (he has recently taken his site down, but email still active). He may be able to at least point you in the right direction sean@skiingninja.com

Worst case, I'd look for another pair for sale so you have some spares or start looking for new speakers
