Hi all,

I am trying to decide which one of these pro/pro's will fit the bill. The Emotiva DMC-1 definitely looks better. I'd like you guys in the know to tell me what i'd be missing other than looks going with an Outlaw 990 instead. What are the main feature differences? I know one is the Outlaw has the auto setup with mic and the DMC-1 does not. Another is the price of the DMC-1 is $600 more money and that it catching the DMC-1 on sale right now. Please help me understand what it can really do that the outlaw can't.

BTW, I am probably 75% HT and 25% Music and I have Onyx Rockets - RS1000 fronts and RSC200 center and SVS PB12-Plus/2. I am probably going with Onyx Rockets RSS300 dipole surrounds.

Emotiva

The Emotiva and Outlaw pre-pros are both good units. The new price on the Emotiva is tempting, and you can probably get a better deal since you are in the av123 "family". It also includes the HDMI switch now and would look great with the matching MPS-1 amp, which is cheeper than comparable products from Outlaw.

Since pre-pros are not particularly heavy, you might consider an in-home demo of the two units.
