Like the title says I need speaker stand for my S40’s, I really don’t want to spend $350 for Dyn stands but I will if I have to. I have a 2nd SVS sub on the way and it won’t fit with my current setup.

my dog ate the blinds the first time she was left alone in the new place, they will be replaced and heavy curtains will be added to assist with lighting and audio reflections.

I have the VTI DF stands. Cast iron with powder coated finish in flat black. Nice and heavy so I did not fill them with sand or shot. If you don't fill them, you can run the cables through the tube to hide them. You have carpet so the floor spikes should be ok. Mine came with two sided rubber adhesive pads to stick the speakers to the top plate, which can be handy if you have kids or a large dog. They have other heights but for bookshelves the 29" work out well (about desktop height).

Pictured in my setup but I cut off the feet in the front photo.

The VTI stands are nice. Sanus is supposed to be good. I've also heard good things about Monoprice Monolith stand.

You pretty much nailed it.

I love all things Sanus!

I went with the Monolith stands over the Sanus Steel stands, only because Monos were the height I needed, and I am very happy.

I have no experience with VTI.
