After seeing pics of the room, I stand by my former posts. That looks like a very live room with lots of reflective surfaces to bounce high frequencies around the room, giving an artificially bright sound.
If I were you, I would start a thread using those pictures in the acoustics section of this forum. I think you have a great deal to gain by investing in some acoustic treatment and nothing to gain from replacing your amp.
